Fort Thomas, Lousiville Kentucky, is commonly known as "City of Beautiful Homes." Fort Thomas is over 120 years old. Its legacy stems from 1877 when the US Army decided on Fort Thomas as a site for a military post.

The Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft is a nonprofit organization founded in 1981 to promote and support art and craft excellence in Kentucky. In 2006, KMAC celebrated 25 years of supporting artists and providing educational programs to school children and adults. The Museum is supported in part by the Fund for the Arts and Kentucky Arts Council, a state agency of the Commerce Cabinet.
